About Filippo Focacci
With ten years of experience applying OR techniques in industrial applications within several optimization domains, Filippo Focacci is a product manager for ILOG's planning and scheduling solution, ILOG Plant PowerOps. He is a co-author of over thirty Operations Research (OR)-related publications, including international journals, conferences and books, and he has served on the program committees of Operations Research and artificial intelligence conferences. Focacci received a PhD in Operations Research from the University of Ferrara, Italy.

About Ben Fuqua
As vice president of the management and supply chain consulting team within TranSystems Corporation Fuqua's responsibilities have included client development, project execution, profit and loss, and the delivery of customer-focused decision support solutions. Mr. Fuqua has 20 years of experience in supply chain related analyses, working with over 130 client companies. His project experience spans a wide range of services, including strategic supply chain planning, budget management, sales and operations planning and execution, problem definition and specification, solutions architecture, data collection, solution development and configuration, testing, analysis, and training course development and delivery. He manages TranSystems' Nashville, Tennessee office.
Prior to joining TranSystems, Fuqua has held positions with several supply chain analysis-related companies. He is the founder and president of J. B. Fuqua & Associates, an independent simulation and scheduling firm, which merged with Automation Associates, Inc in 1999. He established and developed the Nashville, TN office of Automation Associates, Inc until TranSystems acquired the company in 2005. Previously, he was employed by Systems Modeling Corporation (now a part of Rockwell Software), a simulation and scheduling system software development company in Pittsburgh, PA, and he was a systems engineer at Martin Marietta Energy Systems.
Mr. Fuqua holds a BS and a MS in industrial engineering from the University of Tennessee. His professional affiliations include the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the Council of Logistics Management.

About Derek Nelson
Derek Nelson is a product marketing manager for ILOG's LogicTools Suite of Supply Chain Applications. He holds an MS in operations research from Cornell University and a BS in industrial engineering and management science, Magna Cum Laude, from Northwestern University.

About Kevin O'Meara
Kevin O'Meara is a veteran of over 24 years in the supply chain and logistics fields. He managed logistics for the Third Infantry Division in Germany, and he was the operations officer for the Port of Rotterdam during the first Gulf War. O'Meara spent 12 years with Schneider National and Schneider Logistics in many roles, including general manager for Ford Service Parts. In 2005, he joined The Whirlpool Corporation as director of supply chain operations, where he was responsible for all factory distribution centers, corporate transportation and the KitchenAid countertop appliance supply chain operations and strategies. In his current position as director of the product fulfillment team, fabric care, he manages the availability, fill rates, and inventory for all of Whirlpool's fabric care products. O'Meara graduated from Cornell University and received his MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.

About Mark Sellner
Mark Sellner is a manager of corporate transportation for Malt-O-Meal. A 25-year supply chain veteran, his background includes transportation, warehousing, network optimization, logistics, retail and food manufacturing; he has taught college-level supply chain courses. Sellner holds a BA in business management from Metropolitan State University.

About David Simchi-Levi
David Simchi-Levi has won awards for his work in supply chain, logistics, and transportation, and he has consulted and collaborated extensively with private and public organizations. He is co-author (with Julien Bramel) of The Logic of Logistics, and Designing and Managing the Supply Chain (with P. Kaminsky and E. Simchi-Levi), which received the Book-of-the-Year award and the Outstanding IIE Publication award in 2000 by the Institute of Industrial Engineers. Simchi-Levi received a PhD in Operations Research from Tel-Aviv University.

About Gina Stafford-Crane
Gina Stafford-Crane has been with MillerCoors in their Golden, Colorado Plant for 24 years. Her career has centered on the operations arena and has included a strong partnership with IT. During the last six years, Stafford-Crane served on the IT team as a senior business analyst and project manager. She has recently returned to the operations group, working with Corporate Transportation and Customer Service as the supply chain transformation project manager.

About Jon Walkwitz
After joining Shell Lubricants in 2006 as a supply chain network planner, Jon Walkwitz has completed several network optimization projects using ILOG LogicNet Plus and ILOG Inventory Analyst. He leads the team's monthly sales and operations planning process.
Prior to Shell Lubricants, Walkwitz served aboard Los Angeles class submarines as a United States naval officer from 2000-2006. He holds a bachelor of biomedical-biochemical engineering from the University of Southern California, a master of industrial engineering from the University of Houston, and he is currently an MBA candidate at Rice University. He holds the title of Licensed Professional Engineer (Texas), specializing in industrial and nuclear engineering.

About David Wang
In his role as supply chain manager for Malt-O-Meal, David Wang provides leadership, direction and planning for all aspects of global supply chain strategy, by identifying supply chain structural improvement opportunities and implementing those ideas via business processes or distribution network changes. Wang has led multiple structural analysis efforts that identified millions of dollars of savings opportunities across Malt-O-Meal's portfolio of businesses, by designing and optimizing national and regional supply chain networks. Prior to joining Malt-O-Meal, he worked at Schwan's Consumer Brands as a supply chain manager. Wang received his BS in engineering from Nanjing Industrial University and his MBA from the University of Tennessee.

About Michael S. Watson
Michael S. Watson has consulted on several network design projects in many different industries. His experience ranges from completing network design projects to teaching consulting firms how to build a network design practice. He is co-author of the article "Defining Perfect Distribution Channels," published in the April 2000 issue of Parcel Shipping & Distribution Magazine.
Watson completed his PhD in industrial engineering and management sciences at Northwestern University, specializing in production and supply chain management. He has worked in IBM's Logistics Practice as a management consultant. He is currently adjunct professor in the Master of Engineering Management program at Northwestern University.

About Kurt Zetah
Kurt Zetah joined Dow Chemical in 1991, and worked in their marine and terminal operations where he held a variety of assignments—from managing capital projects to improving daily operations—for five years. He moved to Dow's ethlyeneamines operations in 1996, where he took on the role of operations engineer and later became a technology and improvement engineer.
Zetah held a variety of positions in Dow's Energy Systems business from 1999 to 2005. He created Energy System's production planner position to plan Dow's largest site power, fuel and other utility production, purchases, and sales. He was also named commercial manager of Energy System's Freeport site. During his time with Dow's Energy Systems business, Zetah installed the site power and steam optimizer that utilized real-time market information to optimize the site's power and steam production.
In 2005, he moved to Dow's Supply Chain Technology Center, where he currently leads Dow's global supply chain efforts in network optimization, and manages Dow's supply chain mergers and acquisitions work processes.
Zetah received a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota and an MBA from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He holds a Professional Engineering Certificate in the State of Texas, and is APIC-CIPM and Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
