These demos illustrate how ILOG Views Component Suite portable C++ class libraries can be used to develop basic-to-advanced applications:

ILOG Views 2D Graphics

Air traffic control
This demo simulates a simple air traffic supervision application. Plane routes are displayed on top of a map, updated in real time. The goal of this demo is to show how ILOG Views 2D Graphics can be used to display a large number of animated objects. It also shows powerful features for navigating in a map, and examples of customized 2D graphics displays.

Using business graphic objects for electronic simulation
ILOG Views 2D Graphics offers a fast and easy way to create custom symbols and graphics that represent business objects in GUIs. Using the ILOG Views editor (Studio), business graphic objects can be created, programmed and connected to the underlying application data -- without coding.

This demo shows an electronic simulation editor that includes smart devices.

Create specific interactions
This demo shows how ILOG Views can be used to easily create specific interactions to the user interface of an application. Here, a magnification "interactor" has been added to the main view allowing the user to pan, zoom in/out and perform a local zoom by only using his mouse.

Create an ActiveX: airplane booking example
ILOG Views 2D Graphics lets you take advantage of component-based development by creating ActiveXs and OCXs. For this demo, developed in Visual Basic, an ActiveX has been developed with ILOG Views, integrated into the Visual Basic development environment and implemented in the application. This ActiveX component is fully compatible with other applications.

Graph animation with ILOG Views 2D Graphics Professional
This demo illustrates how ILOG Views 2D Graphics Professional can be used to build an animated graph. The application takes advantage of features like animated structured 2D Graphics, nodes and links, selection, zoom, scroll, overview and layers. Users can zoom, scroll, select objects and move them -- all while the animation continues to run.

Graph benchmark with ILOG Views 2D Graphics Professional
Graphs built using ILOG Views 2D Graphics Professional can scale up to quite large dimensions. Even when displaying very large graphs, users can zoom, scroll, select objects and move objects, while maintaining extremely fast refresh rates.

Graph editor with ILOG Views 2D Graphics Professional
Graphs editors can be easily developed using the editing interactors provided with ILOG Views 2D Graphics Professional.

ILOG Views Maps

Using different projections to see sunlight on the earth
The ILOG Views Maps add-on extends ILOG Views 2D Graphics by offering basic services for writing interactive map-based applications running on Windows, Unix and Linux. It provides a set of ready to use common projections and map data readers, together with a framework and an API.

This demo shows how ILOG Views Maps can be used to develop an application that projects sunlight on the earth.

ILOG Views Graph Layout

Using automatic layout for an organization chart
This demo illustrates how ILOG Views Graph Layout can be used to build an organization-chart application. The graphing feature is employed to display people and relationships, automatically arranged using high-performance algorithms.

ILOG Views Charts

Bars and radar charts
In this demo, two charts are connected to the same dataset. The application takes advantage of features like Polar and Cartesian charts, synchronized charts, real time update, automatic scales and point edition. Users can edit points, change representation type and launch a simulation that updates data in real time.

Local zoom for charts
This demo shows a lens in a chart display that enables you to zoom locally to see more details.

ILOG Views Controls

High-performance handling of text and graphics in large tables
ILOG Views Controls offers ready-to-use, scrollable tables and spreadsheets that provide standard operations like cell exchange, column resize, and row addition. Information is displayed consistently throughout multiple views, and each row is drawn only when necessary.

This demo shows how ILOG Views handles large tables that include text and graphic objects.

Miscellaneous

The features demonstrated in this section are common to ILOG Views Control and ILOG Views 2D Graphics Standard and Professional editions.

Animated bitmap and transparency management
This demo illustrates ILOG Views' bitmap-animation capabilities and transparency management. The bitmap transparency does not use any system-specific feature, and is fully portable across Windows 95/98/NT/2000, major Unix platforms and Linux.
