Business-rule access is controlled by the SharePoint administrator, using SharePoint Services security and profile settings.
Rule Team Server stores business rules as XML documents called RuleDocs, accessible through standard document libraries. Wizards allow developers to synchronize Rule Team Server business rules with Rule Studio for .NET.
Utilize Windows SharePoint Services collaboration features: document and meeting workspaces, user presence, discussion boards, tasks and alerts. Web Parts give business users comprehensive editing options. Users can edit rules directly with Rule Editor. They can also edit rules with Microsoft Word 2003 or Microsoft Excel 2003 by launching Rule Solutions for Office from SharePoint Services. Familiar SharePoint Services features are available, including check-in, check-out and discussion boards.
