Extend Your Existing IT Investments and Predict Risk Cost Effectively
ILOG Rule Studio Scorecard Modeler is an add-on module that extends the range of ILOG JRules—the market-leading ILOG Business Rule Management System (BRMS)—within the risk-assessment domain. ILOG Rule Studio Scorecard Modeler provides a ready-to-use scoring model that helps users quickly set up a scorecard that uses business rules to apply numerical values, true-or-false conditions, or items from a predefined list.
ILOG Rule Studio Scorecard Modeler has a simple user interface, created specifically for non-technical business users.
This section is for basic scorecard model design. You can define the attributes, ranges and scores (or mathematical formulae), as well as the associated reason code, to apply to your scorecard.

This section is used to manage different scorecard properties. Use the tabs to create out-of-the-box reasoning strategies, including display controls, sorting, duplicates, etc, as well as scoring strategies that can easily be applied and managed.
The "Scorecard Properties" tab facilitates quick management of reason codes and their descriptions, and it allows you to manage complex scorecards.
Easily determine the reliability of your customers as part of a transaction
ILOG Rule Studio Scorecard Modeler accommodates the mathematical formulae used to score individual attributes, and it provides advanced reasoning capabilities to explain scores clearly and simply. For instance, an age limitation may generate a "too young" response that is later listed in the assessment report.
Rule developers can quickly implement scoring models with ease. ILOG Rule Studio Scorecard Modeler integrates well with existing object models, such as Java classes and XML schemas, from which it allows you to select the attributes to be used in a scorecard.
Gain a competitive advantage with greater flexibility
ILOG's Rule Studio Scorecard Modeler addresses the operational activities of taking scorecards from strategy teams, providing more flexibility in the source of the predictive analytics as input to a scorecard.
Other advantages include:
- The ability to assign scores for attributes with complex mathematical formulae in business action language (BAL)
- A reasoning and scoring strategy that is completely extensible with Java language
- Complex scorecard support
- Early error detection with rejection code support, for times when information is insufficient for calculating scores
- Gap and overlap analyses for attribute ranges, to prevent errors
