Features designed specifically for 300mm semiconductor fabs make Fab PowerOps the ideal solution for production scheduling. |
Precise operational models
Fab PowerOps' scheduling engines have predefined operating models for each process area based on the operating scenarios and process tool types used by top-tier semiconductor fabs throughout the world. These models enable the scheduling algorithms to consider all your key operating requirements in determining the optimal lot distribution and sequencing across all the tools within each process area.

Optimized schedules
ILOG's acknowledged leadership in both of the leading optimization technologies has been combined with detailed fab operational models. The result is recommended schedules that give you control like never before over the many production variables. Fab PowerOps evaluates all of your WIP, tools, steps and process timing constraints in multiple alternative schedules, generating a schedule that anticipates the future.

Configurable GUIs in a Gantt format simplify the task of viewing, comparing and analyzing your schedules. This information is also accessible though web browsers, enabling you to make quick decisions inside the fab. In addition, sophisticated scheduling analytics allow you to perform side-by-side comparison of proposed schedules or actual historical schedules, facilitating what-if analysis of alternative business strategies.

Low-risk integration with existing systems
Fab PowerOps includes predefined MES data models that help lower the risk of integration and deployment with your existing factory systems. After connectors are in place, the software can perform central management and continuously extract MES and other system data, then filter and transform it into the scheduling database and produce schedules. These are then published on the software's Gantt charts and on your other factory system components such as equipment interfaces and AMHS.

Adaptable to unique and changing business requirements

The scheduling algorithms within Fab PowerOps can easily be tuned to fit your Fab's situation. They will support your production stage (startup, ramp, fully ramped), production class (memory, logic, foundry, R&D), process technology, level of automation and other parameters. You can adjust the weighting of your manufacturing objectives and enable or disable constraints to prioritize new product introductions and process developments, remove older products through the line or increase specific product volumes. Since all data is automatically archived, you can analyze the impact of decisions off line before implementation.
