I want to get started developing with ILOG Diagram for .NET. What do I need to buy?

You must purchase one development license, at minimum. This includes the entire product, free patches and upgrades for a year, free support on the technical forum, free Windows Forms (desktop) deployment, and a free test server license for ASP.NET (WebForms) deployment. Check the price list for exact prices.

Is the development license associated with a developer, a machine, or an application?

ILOG Diagram for .NET development licenses are sold to individual developers. You may use (i.e. compile with) the product on every machine you use for development (including test machines), but you may not allow another developer to compile.

Each developer who uses ILOG Diagram for .NET to develop an application must have a valid development license. Development licenses place no restrictions, however, on how many applications are deployed or the number of users of those applications.

I note that a development license includes free patches and upgrades for one year. What happens after the one year period?

The development license includes a one year upgrade subscription license. If you want to continue receiving patches and other minor and major releases after the first year, you can purchase a subscription renewal. Check the price list for exact pricing.

Do I get a discount if I buy multiple development licenses?

Yes. Our team license packages four development licenses together with an approximately 25-percent discount. Please indicate your interest in the team license on our license information request page.

Is special licensing, such as student or academic pricing, start-up pricing or consultant pricing, offered?

No. We have intentionally made out pricing policy simple to reduce our costs and pass along the savings to you.

I want to deploy an ASP.NET application. Can I do this with my development license?

You can test your ASP.NET application (a server test license is included with each development license), but you cannot deploy it. To deploy it, you must purchase production server licenses. Each server machine that hosts ILOG Diagram for .NET requires this license, but the machine is not limited in terms of CPU or bandwidth.

What does priority support offer?

Priority support offers phone and e-mail access, as well as timely response commitments. It can be purchased on a yearly basis.

Our technical support forum is available to all our customers. Forum replies are made by other ILOG Diagram for .NET users and by ILOG employees as time permits.

Does ILOG Diagram for .NET contain any open source code?

ILOG Diagram for .NET does not use any open source software.

Can I get an extended evaluation?

Our evaluations are good for 30 days, starting with the download date. After that, the product will stop working on your machine and you will have to purchase the product to continue working with it. We do not offer extended evaluations.
