New ILOG JTGO 3.0
The communications industry is preparing to unleash the next generation
of technologies and services, and ILOG is contributing with ILOG
JTGO 3.0.
The newest version of the Java component that has captured the
attention of the industry with its outstanding graphics and rapid
development, ILOG JTGO 3.0 enables the quick deployment of cutting-edge,
flexible and integrated quality of service (QoS) interfaces for
the coming generation of operations support systems (OSSs).

ILOG JTGO empowers OSS user interfaces
to maximize operator efficiency and satisfaction while minimizing
costs and time to market for new technologies. It succeeds by
simplifying user-interface development with a set of pure-Java
components, including tree, table, equipment and network views
for graphically representing and operating networks, equipment
and services. Service operators use ILOG JTGO interfaces to
get the most out of their systems. |
ILOG JTGO offers the best QoS picture by providing a complete set
of functions for displaying and navigating any OSS data:
- Searching, filtering and sorting from any view
- Sharp look-and-feel customization
- Power drill down, and in-place or out-of-place expansion
Parc Technologies
Parc
Technologies has selected ILOG CPLEX as a component for the
company's new product for optimizing the placement of Fast Re-Route
backup tunnels in a multiprotocol label-switching (MPLS) network.
Co-developed with a leading network solution vendor, Parc's new
product automatically solves a problem that has long hindered MPLS
deployment. Setting the product apart is its ability to automatically
calculate and position backup tunnels in MPLS networks to fulfill
bandwidth guarantees and keep propagation delays within acceptable
limits in the event of an element failure. Parc relies on ILOG CPLEX,
the industry's top linear programming software component, as a component
of the hybrid algorithm developed to solve this problem.
"Parc is committed to delivering innovative, technologically advanced
solutions to our customers," says Gideon Agar, CEO of Parc Technologies.
"ILOG offered us proven, market-leading components, complementing
our own technology and decreasing our time to market."
Lightscape Standardizes
Lightscape
Networks has selected ILOG JTGO for the eNM network management
platform, bringing to 26 the number of optical network vendors that
have standardized their graphical user interfaces with ILOG JTGO.
With more than a decade of experience in the optical networking
field, Lightscape counts many major worldwide carriers among its
customers. They include Deutsche Telekom, D2 Vodafone, NTL, China
Telecom, Global One, and Cable & Wireless. The company concentrates
on the metropolitan market, which in North America was expected
to reach $9.7 billion in 2001, according to industry analyst
RHK.
"ILOG JTGO will help eNM support very large and complex networks,"
explains Ido Gur, vice president of product management at Lightscape.
"It also lets us stratify the management view, with layers for equipment,
transportation and optical lines. Users will be able to easily manage
both traffic and equipment in their networks."
The user interface is a key component of eNM, enabling operators
to fully control Lightscape's network equipment and gain a complete
view of optical network activities at a glance. Lightscape's platform
is based on the company's "Build As You Grow" concept, which results
in integrated platforms that consolidate multiple network elements
and systems.
TTI Telecom Int.
TTI Telecom International Ltd. and ILOG have formed an agreement to co-develop a service assurance platform for carriers. To be part of TTI's Netrac product line, the new platform will be based on the new ILOG JTGO 3.0 software component for developing graphical interfaces for operations support systems (OSSs), and sold by TTI under an ISV arrangement.
Sharing research and development, ILOG and TTI will create the platform, equipping it with an automated system for building graphical interfaces based on business models and data. The resulting product will require almost no coding from the user, and provide a highly intuitive look and feel for managing communications resources, including network hardware equipment.
TTI and ILOG are applying the new features in ILOG JTGO 3.0 to develop the new TTI Netrac platform for comprehensive, real-time monitoring of service levels.
