ILOG Sales
New regional VPs
ILOG has two new vice presidents of field operations for the Americas, and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA): Fred Gewant and Harley Davis, respectively. They oversee ILOG’s field sales, telesales and service organizations for their regions.
Mr. Gewant brought more than 20 years of technology sales and consulting experience to his new position. Prior to joining ILOG, he was senior vice president of worldwide sales at Certus Software, a corporate governance software provider with more than 80 Fortune 1000 customers. He had also served in sales, technical and consulting roles at J.D. Edwards (now Oracle), Arthur Andersen, Datasearch and T.D. Services.
“We’re very pleased to have Fred on board,” says Eric Brisson, ILOG’s executive vice president, sales and services. “His breadth and depth of experience includes significant SCM and business process management market experience, which means he will have great insights into our customers’ needs.”
From consulting to sales
Mr. Davis shifted to VP of EMEA field operations from his position as director of ILOG Professional Services for Europe, where he oversaw the sale and implementation of ILOG business rule management systems, and planning and scheduling solutions at industry-leading organizations that include Peugeot, Commerzbank and Metro de Madrid.
“Harley’s more than 20 years of industry experience in a broad range of services and technical roles, including his success at ILOG, makes him the perfect candidate to assume this role in Europe and take sales there to the next level,” says Mr. Brisson. “In addition to his sales leadership abilities, he will continue to be instrumental in helping grow our services business as part of the overall ILOG product suite.”

ILOG Germany
Häger directs European subsidiary
Frank Häger has taken over as managing director of ILOG Germany. He will concentrate on expanding ILOG’s presence in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and applying ILOG’s global sales and marketing strategies to his market.
Mr. Häger already has seven years of experience with the company. He last served as ILOG sales director in Switzerland, where he focused on selling and overseeing the development and deployment of enterprise systems. In his new capacity, Mr. Häger will concentrate on further establishing ILOG as a leading provider of business rule management systems and optimization solutions. As service-oriented architecture and business process management become increasingly popular for overcoming the complexities of contemporary business, ILOG’s products figure prominently as business enablers.
“ILOG’s business rule management systems help IT experts and business users bring SOA projects together earlier and in less time,” says Mr. Häger. “In addition to that, our optimization solutions deliver economies of time and cost.”
ILOG Germany was founded more than a decade ago to provide regional sales and professional service support to customers in Germany and other Central European countries. The subsidiary’s customers include industry leaders Allianz, Commerzbank, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bahn, Deutsche Telekom, Deutsche Post and DaimlerChrysler Bank.
