HQ moves to Sunnyvale
To keep pace with its growth in the Americas, ILOG has moved its U.S. headquarters to a larger, more accessible building in Sunnyvale, California. With 80,000 square feet of space, the new building gives ILOG’s local personnel far more elbowroom for overseeing the company’s administrative, marketing, R&D and sales operations in the region.

The new building was opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in May. Sunnyvale Mayor Otto Lee officiated the ceremony, welcoming ILOG Chairman and CEO Pierre Haren and his company to the city and giving him a Certificate of Congratulation.

“We’re excited to welcome an innovation-driven company like ILOG to our city and would like to congratulate ILOG on its 20-year run and 10-year anniversary on NASDAQ,” said the mayor. “I am proud to present ILOG the Certificate of Congratulation. ILOG has been a prominent part of Silicon Valley for the past 15 years, and this growth and expansion to the new facility and ILOG’s longevity is a testament to that. We wish ILOG continued growth and success.”

ILOG celebrated its 20th anniversary as a company and 10th year on NASDAQ in April. Next year will mark the company’s 10th year on Euronext, the Paris-based stock exchange for technology companies.

“We would like to thank Mayor Lee for being a part of ILOG’s history by attending this ceremony,” said Mr. Haren in his speech at the building’s opening ceremony. “We believe in being innovation leaders and we will continue to contribute to the Valley in a meaningful way. Through the past 20 years, ILOG has strived to be true to the spirit of innovation and change that makes Silicon Valley unique.”

The move has changed more than ILOG USA’s address. The office’s new contact information:

ILOG Australia
Meet brings BRMS users together
ILOG recently held its first user group meeting in Australia for ILOG’s business rule management system (BRMS). More than 30 people attended the one-day event in Melbourne. Stéphane Marouani, country manager of ILOG Australia, led the conference along with Patrick Shearman, CIO of Hospitals Contribution Fund (HCF) and chairman of the local ILOG BRMS User Group.

The all-day event included presentations from users and discussions on topics that included testing strategies and migrating legacy rules. Representatives from ILOG included JongTong Foo, Asia-Pacific general manager, who brought attendees up to date on recent company developments.

Greg Steel, solution architect at CGU Information Services, and Stephen Drover, technology competency lead at National Australia Bank, were also nominated as secretaries of the user group. “It’s good to bring together users from different industries to share experiences with our technologies,” says Mr. Marouani. “It shows how versatile and mature the products are, and contributes to forging ties among members of our user base in Australia. It also helps new customers leverage solid best practices.”

ILOG BRMS is rapidly catching on as a great technology for automating decision making in key enterprise systems in Australia. Already local companies in finance, communications and banking are using ILOG BRMS. Other ILOG technologies, including ILOG CPLEX, are well established in Australia’s manufacturing and mining industries.

The ILOG BRMS User Group will hold quarterly meetings, alternating venues between Melbourne and Sydney. Members have access to a website for the group that allows them to share knowledge, upload information and read minutes from past events as well as check agendas for future ones.

ILOG BRMS seminars
ILOG is currently running seminars on ILOG BRMS in Europe and the United States. The seminars introduce attendees to ILOG’s BRMS products and their applications in different industries. For more information, visit www.ilog.com/corporate/events.
