What is ILOG JRules Trial?
The ILOG JRules Trial is 6 month evaluation version of the full-featured ILOG JRules software that runs on the JBoss application server platform. It s intended for educational and evaluation purposes only. ILOG JRules is a business rule management system (BRMS) that allows you to extract business policies from software code so they can be directly authored, modified, and managed. ILOG JRules BRMS covers the complete life cycle of rules within a company and streamlines the administration and improvement of business rules across the enterprise.

How can I use the ILOG JRules Trial?
You can use ILOG JRules Trial to learn about and understand ILOG JRules. ILOG JRules Trial is a full-featured evaluation version of ILOG JRules that runs on the JBoss application server platform. You can use all the features of ILOG JRules Trial for education, evaluation and development, but the license agreement prohibits using it to deploy an application in the production environment.

Is support available for the ILOG JRules Trial?
ILOG JRules Trial is supported through an online discussion group. If you are using ILOG JRules Trial and have a question, register for the ILOG Community and post your question to the ILOG JRules Trial group. The ILOG Community is not an official support channel; however, we do try to answer all posted questions. You can also browse all the other discussion groups and interact with other ILOG JRules users in the ILOG Community.

Can I use an application server other than JBoss?
The ILOG JRules Trial is only available for the JBoss application server platform. If you need to evaluate ILOG JRules on another platform please contact ILOG to request an official evaluation copy of ILOG JRules for your specific platform.

Can I use an integrated development environment (IDE) other than Eclipse?
The ILOG JRules Business Rule Studio is a set of plug-ins for Eclipse. ILOG doesnot currently support other IDEs. However, you can use the IDE of your choice to develop the Java portion of your application and only use the ILOG JRules Business Rule Studio to author and deploy your business rules.

Can I renew ILOG JRules Trial when it expires?
We will not extend the ILOG JRules Trial evaluation period. You must download and reinstall the software when your six-month evaluation period ends.

Is there an ILOG Rules for .NET Trial?
We currently do not offer a trial version of ILOG Rules for .NET . You can request an official evaluation of ILOG Rules for .NET by contacting ILOG.
